Keren Reads to Her Family

Keren
Dear Elizabeth, Sean, Polo, Julie, Jennifer, Scott and Laurie, Julissa, Gary, Josh, Liz Ivan, Leigh, Claudia, Pete and Jason, Susan, Melinda, Sarah & Rob, Jodi, Mira, D.Susan, Karin, Francisco, Sarah, Drew, Cynthia, Jennifer, Frances, Ariana, Mark, and Katie,

A tremendous THANK YOU for being a part of the Hawthorne Library Reimagination Campaign! Your donations will ensure that Keren and all of the fourth grade students at Hawthorne Elementary will have access to amazing fiction books that they want to read — which, in turn, will help foster a lifelong love of reading and learning!

Keren is a caring nine year old with a great sense of humor. She adores the Babymouse book series and often reads to her five year old brother, Joab. She was excited to learn that people were raising money to get new books for her school library. It’ll be “fun,” she says, because she’ll “get to read more books…at home and read to her brother and cousins and make them laugh.” Keren wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

Thank you all so much for joining us to increase access to high interest fiction books for Keren and the diverse student body at Hawthorne Elementary School!
